Registration fees for the face-to-face event in Hanover

Registration Fee for Members:
125 € for registrations with payment before 31 March 2023, 147 € for later registrations
(for members of the societies BIB, VDB, ALA, ALBAD, Bibliosuisse, BVÖ, BVS, VÖB)

Registration Fee for Non-Members:
250 € for registrations with payment before 31 March 2023, 290 € for later registrations

Reduced Registration Fee:
65 € for registrations and payment before 31 March 2023, 75 € for later registrations
(for trainees, students incl. dual-track degree courses, vocational management trainees, in-service professional trainees, unemployed colleagues and the retired; a proof has to be sent with the registration to

Day-Tickets will also be available:
Day-Ticket for Members: 85 € for registrations with payment before 31 March 2023, 95 € for later registrations
Day-Tickets for Non-Member: 140 € for registrations with payment before 31 March 2023, 155 € for later registrations


Included in the registration fee is a Hanover public transport ticket which covers the center of the city, GVH tariff zone ABC.
The ticket for a full registration is valid from 23 to 26 May 2023, the ticket for a day registration is valid on the corresponding day.

The ticket will be printed on the name badge.


Registration fees for streaming only

There will be Streaming from three lecture rooms. You can follow the streaming and post live comments and questions in the chat.

Registration Fee for Members: 80 €
Registration Fee for Non-Members: 165 €
Registration Fee reduced (see conditions above): 45 €

Streaming is included for all participants in the face-to-face event.


Name Badge

The name badge has to be worn all times during the congress. The badge entitle you for the free entrance to all session rooms, the exhibition hall and the opening session with Get Together.

In addition the name badge also serves as ticket for the public transportation system for the city of Hanover.

If you loose the name badge, a fee of 15 € has to be charged for issuing a replacement badge.

Certificate of Attendance

After the congress you will receive an e-mail with a personalized link which enables you to download your certificate of attendance. There will be no paper certificates on-site.

Welcome to the BIB!

BIB members can become members of the library and information professions and other employees in libraries and related IuD institutions, including trainees and students of the relevant professions or courses.

o-bib. The open library journal is the specialist journal and also the VDB newsletter. o-bib appears quarterly and also contains the congress volume of the German Library Day.
